The best postpartum investment I made!
Milky Oat has been one of the best investments I made for my postpartum period. Their meals are not only incredibly delicious, but also deeply nourishing and thoughtfully crafted for healing and replenishment. Having this support has brought me so much peace of mind — I do not have to think about what to make or where my food will come from, and instead can focus on settling into this new rhythm of life with my baby. I especially appreciate the emphasis on Ayurvedic foods and the natural, warming ingredients that feel so supportive during postpartum. I originally signed up for 4 weeks, and I’ve loved it so much that I’m extending for 2 more.

I don’t think there can be a better meal service out there… milky oats is the best! The meals are outstanding! I had my husband and a good friend try some of it and they were blown away with how delicious and truly homemade it was. I loved knowing I was getting the food nourishment I need while I’m nursed my new baby girl. I also used it when I had to go back to work. It was the best transition into work because I didn’t have to plan a meal, and everything is so nutritious I was able to perform better than normal too. Their customer service is top notch too. Super responsive and the one time I had an issue with a broken jar they resolved it so quickly! All that said, I cannot recommend this service enough… the food is phenomenal and the service is incredible too. I will use them again!

What is Milky Oat?+
Milky Oat is a postpartum meal delivery service for the fourth trimester. Every menu is doula-curated and chef-prepared from certified organic ingredients, formulated for the real demands of recovery: milk supply, hormone balance, digestive ease, and lasting energy. Everything is free of dairy, gluten, soy, seed oils, and refined sugars, always.
How does delivery work?+
We deliver three days a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, to the San Francisco Bay Area and Central Coast. Meals arrive in reusable glass jars and biodegradable boxes, and we collect and sanitize everything on your next delivery so you never have to manage packaging. Birth is hard to plan, so our delivery team reaches out as your date approaches to confirm your first delivery to the day.
What is included in each delivery?+
Every delivery covers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus a Snacktation (a milk-boosting bite) and a nourishing sip or broth. A 6-day plan gives you six full days of meals each week across the three deliveries; a 4-day plan gives you four. You can add a partner so they receive breakfast, lunch, and dinner alongside you.
How does the subscription work?+
The 4-Week Subscription delivers a four-week supply of meals and renews automatically every 28 days at 10% off one-time pricing. There is no long-term commitment: skip an upcoming delivery, pause, or cancel anytime from your account, as long as you let us know by noon the day before that delivery. Prefer no renewal? Choose a one-time 1, 3, or 6-week plan instead.
How do Milky Oat gift registries work?+
Anyone can create a free registry for an expecting parent in about a minute, with a story, a cover photo, and an optional funding goal. Friends and family contribute any amount (in $50 steps) toward the plan, and every gift becomes store credit in the recipient's Milky Oat balance, pooled alongside any referral credit. The parent redeems that credit toward any plan whenever they are ready. You can also gift a plan directly, or contribute to an existing registry from a shared link.
Can I use my FSA or HSA?+
Yes. HSA and FSA cards run on the same Visa and Mastercard networks as ordinary cards, so they are accepted at checkout. Our meal plans are formulated for postpartum recovery and are generally an eligible health expense; we tag each charge as FSA/HSA eligible and label your statement as Milky Oat for easy reconciliation. Eligibility can vary by plan administrator, so check your specific plan if you are unsure, and reply to your confirmation email if you would like an itemized receipt.
How far in advance can I schedule my first delivery?+
Up to 10 months out, designed for pregnancy planning. Choose a date around your due window and our team will reach out as it approaches to confirm. Meal plans are tax-free with free delivery, always.
Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?+
Every meal is already free of dairy, gluten, soy, seed oils, and refined sugars, plus peanuts, preservatives, and GMOs. Choose an Omnivore or Vegetarian menu, and note any allergies or sensitivities in the dietary field when you order. We accommodate most restrictions by swapping any affected dish for a complimentary one from the same delivery: pork is never on our menu, no-beef is routine, and we handle common needs like nut-free and egg-free. The only things we cannot work around are quinoa, raw onion or garlic, sesame, or severe cross-contamination allergies.
